Problem

Refettorio Chicago, a community-driven initiative focused on reducing food waste and providing meals to those in need, needed a logo that reflected its mission of sustainability, community, and nourishment. The logo also had to reference the partnership between Inspiration Corporation and Food For Soul, the partner organizations managing and sponsoring the project.

Solution

The logo uses the iconic Chicago Y, representing the merging of the rivers in downtown Chicago and symbolizing the merging of its communities. These themes aligned with Refettorio Chicago's focus on community support, sustainability, and job development. The design was kept clean and modern, using a color palette that incorporated colors from both organizations and that referenced the Chicago Flag.

Result

The logo captured the spirit of Refettorio Chicago, blending local identity with the organization’s mission. Serving to help tell the story of the organization, the brand has proven to resonate with employees, clients, customers, and sponsors alike.
